Drwy gyfuno’r Gymraeg a Llenyddiaeth Saesneg, byddwch yn ennill cyfoeth o wybodaeth a sgiliau trosglwyddadwy, gan agor drysau i amrywiaeth o lwybrau gyrfa. Mae’r radd gydanrhydedd yn cynnig y cyfle i ddilyn cwrs astudio ar lefel uwch, gan rannu eich modiwlau rhwng y Gymraeg a Llenyddiaeth Saesneg. Mae cwrs y Gymraeg yn berthnasol i’r Gymru gyfoes ac yn cael ei ddysgu gan Ysgol sydd wedi’i chydnabod am ansawdd ac effaith ei hymchwil. Nod y cwrs yw cynhyrchu graddedigion sydd â dealltwriaeth drwyadl (yn academaidd ac yn ymarferol) o’r iaith Gymraeg, ei llenyddiaeth a’i diwylliant, lefel uchel o sgiliau ieithyddol ar lafar ac yn ysgrifenedig, a sgiliau cyflogadwyedd a chreadigol datblygedig sy’n berthnasol i’r Gymru fodern. Mae’r cwricwlwm Llenyddiaeth Saesneg yn cynnig mynediad at holl rychwant llenyddiaeth Saesneg, o gyfnod yr Eingl-Sacsoniaid hyd at yr unfed ganrif ar hugain. Ond ni chyfyngir y cwricwlwm i’r gair printiedig - gan fod y cysylltiadau rhwng llenyddiaeth a ffilm, celfyddyd, cerddoriaeth, hanes, iaith a diwylliant poblogaidd yn cyffroi’n chwilfrydedd, ac mae’n haddysgu ni’n adlewyrchu’r diddordebau hynny. Er nad yw’r cwrs Llenyddiaeth Saesneg yn cynnwys unrhyw fodiwlau gorfodol, byddwch yn ennill profiad o ystod eang o destunau llenyddol, cyfnodau, mudiadau a genres. Fel myfyriwr cydanrhydedd, fe welwch fod meysydd a safbwyntiau yn aml sy'n cysylltu pynciau, boed yn ddadansoddiad beirniadol, yn gyd-destunau hanesyddol neu'n ddulliau academaidd. Nodweddion nodedig Mae nodweddion nodedig y cwrs yn cynnwys: •y cyfle i ddilyn cwrs gradd sy’n datblygu sgiliau sy’n berthnasol i’r byd academaidd ac i’r gweithle •modiwl craidd sy’n canolbwyntio ar sgiliau cyflogadwyedd, ac sy’n cynnig cyfnod o brofiad gwaith •ystod o fodiwlau craidd a dewisol mewn Llenyddiaeth Saesneg ac sy’n astudio’r iaith Gymraeg, ei llenyddiaeth a’i diwylliant, yn ogystal â chyfle i arbenigo mewn meysydd sydd o ddiddordeb personol neu o ran eich gyrfa •y pwyslais ar sgiliau ymchwil ymarferol, a fydd o fudd ichi drwy gydol eich gyrfa •y pwyslais ar ddysgu annibynnol mewn awyrgylch cefnogol •y profiad o gael eich addysgu gan ddarlithwyr sy’n weithredol ym myd ymchwil, ac sy’n seilio eu haddysgu ar ymchwil •y profiad o gael eich addysgu gan staff a fydd yn eich adnabod fel unigolyn •cwrs sy’n cynnig traddodiad cryf ym maes ysgrifennu creadigol ac fe addysgir y maes gan awduron sy’n gwneud eu marc ar ddiwylliant cyfoes. •cwrs a gydnabyddir am ddarllen yng ngoleuni damcaniaethau a sicrhau bod deialog rhwng testunau o bob cyfnod a materion cyfoes o ran rhywedd, hunaniaeth, rhywioldeb, cenedligrwydd, hil, y corff, yr amgylchedd a thechnoleg ddigidol.

Qualification requirements

We do not accept Critical Thinking, General Studies, Citizenship Studies, or other similar equivalent subjects. We will accept a combination of BTEC subjects, A-levels, and other qualifications, subject to the course specific grade and subject requirements.


English language requirements

All applicants are expected to have demonstrable English language skills. Most courses ask for GCSE English grade C/4 or equivalent, but some courses ask for GCSE English grade B/6 or equivalent.

Students from the UK and Islands: Fees stated are for the 2024/25 academic year. The University reserves the right to increase tuition fees in the second and subsequent years of a course as permitted by law or Welsh Government policy. Where applicable we will notify you of any change in tuition fee by the end of June in the academic year before the one in which the fee will increase. Fees for entry in subsequent years are subject to increase and will be confirmed by the end of October in the year preceding your start date of your programme. Tuition fees cover all reasonable costs required for you to complete to the degree programme stated. Please note that you may choose to participate in study trips, associated placements or purchase equipment while studying on your degree programme which will be at your own cost. Tuition fees do not include living costs such as accommodation, subsistence or travel.
