Course summary

Gain a global perspective on chemistry with our undergraduate masters degree. This course offers the opportunity to study abroad at one of our partner universities in year three. You could be exploring Canada, Ireland, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Singapore or the USA. On your year abroad you will study core chemistry modules while also exploring the optional modules on offer from your host university. These will all be taught in English. This course is accredited by the Royal Society of Chemistry. You will study all the key areas of organic, inorganic and physical chemistry. You will also gain experience in practical synthetic and analytical chemistry. You'll be taught by academic staff who will feed your curiosity for chemistry. Modules

In year one, you will build up your pre-university studies through modules in core chemistry. If you do not have A level mathematics (or equivalent) then you will take the Mathematical Toolkit module to prepare you for this aspect of the chemistry course. In year two, you will further develop your knowledge and understanding with theoretical and practical modules. You can specialise in an area of chemistry that interests you, such as advanced calculus, and sustainable chemistry. You will spend year three abroad at one of our partner universities, studying core chemistry in advanced and practical modules. In year four, you will work on an in-depth research project in an area of your choice.

European Baccalaureate - 85% overall including 8.5 in Chemistry and 8.0 in a second science. GCSE requirements - English grade 4 (C), Mathematics grade 4 (C)
