Our PPE degree will prepare students to be changemakers who can make sense of the world and understand the action required to solve social problems. Why this course? This course provides you with the opportunity to gain a wide understanding of the political, economic systems that shape our lives, and the world around us. You will gain a strong grasp of how politics is evolving, engage with ethical and philosophical debates and learn about sustainable business practices. The course covers a wide range of topics and gives you the ability to shape what you study. Skills In our BA Politics, Philosophy, and Economics programme, our foremost commitment is to equip you with a professional skillset that will empower you for the future. This encompasses the development of negotiation, leadership, and communication skills. As you journey through the course, you'll evolve into effective decision-makers, grounded in the art of negotiation within political and business frameworks, well-versed in ethical and philosophical principles that serve the greater good of humankind, and adept in making sound economic choices in a world of limited resources. These three interconnected strands ensure that you emerge fully prepared for the practical realities of thriving in political, economic, or business environments. Careers You will graduate from this course equipped with the confidence, skills, and breadth of knowledge pursue a very wide range of careers, across different sectors and in both professional and managerial roles. Graduates of PPE degrees occupy leadership positions in business, civil and public service, in thinktanks, charity sector roles and in local and national politics. Teaching designed around you At Roehampton, we want to provide you with the flexibility you need while you study, and the contact time to help you succeed. We schedule our teaching across no more than three days each week. Plus, we'll confirm which days these are well in advance of the start of term, so you can plan ahead. So, if you want to have more focused personal study time, a part-time job, need to balance family commitments, or want to reduce the time you spend commuting, we’re the ideal choice for you. We offer a wide range of scholarships for UK undergraduates, including: - The Roehampton Bursary is worth £1,000 for the first year of our undergraduate degree programmes*.
