Course summary
Our three-year Business Management with Human Resources BSc(Hons) will help you to understand the foundations of business practice with specialist HRM subjects such as managing and developing employees and employment law. You will address core business topics in addition to organisational behaviour, managing and developing people and cross-cultural working. Human resource management options include employee recruitment, leadership, employee relations and organisational change. All of our business degrees share the same first year, offering you the flexibility to change your final degree title. At the end of your first year you can choose to continue with the Business Management with Human Resources BSc(Hons), choose one of the other following specialisms, or follow a broader study of business in the Business Management BSc(Hons): Business Management BSc(Hons) Business Management with Economics BSc(Hons) Business Management with Finance BSc(Hons) Business Management with Marketing BSc(Hons). Students with good first-year grades also have the opportunity to convert to the four-year Business Management with Human Resource Management and Placement Year BSc(Hons), which includes a salaried work placement during the third year, adding valuable experience to your CV. This course is accredited by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI). All students successfully completing a three-year Business Management route, and who have passed the qualifying modules, will have completed the study required for the Chartered Management Institute’s Level 5 Diploma in Management and Leadership. You can apply for the certificate from the CMI with no requirement to sit their assessments. Don’t meet these entry requirements? For students who do not hold the academic qualifications or experience required for entry to this course the Business Management BSc(Hons) with Integrated Foundation Year is available to prepare you to progress onto year 1 of this degree.
