Course summary

Studying at Kent’s Paris School of Arts and Culture, you are part of an interdisciplinary postgraduate community. With a choice of modules inspired by Paris and its unique cultural history, you have the opportunity to take modules in areas such as art and film alongside your literature modules. Studying in Paris gives you the opportunity to augment your study with visits to some of the places that have inspired many of the greatest authors of the last several hundred years. You can also make use of the research resources and archives that are only available in Paris to develop your dissertation over the summer term. You can choose to begin your studies in September or January and can take a standard (90 ECTS) or an extended (120 ECTS) version of the programme. Part-time study is only available for EU/EEA passport holders, and for those who have the right to remain in France for the duration of their degree.

Modules

Most programmes will require you to study a combination of compulsory and optional modules. You may also have the option to take modules from other programmes so that you may customise your programme and explore other subject areas that interest you.

Assessment method

Assessment is by a 5,000-word essay for each module and a 12,000 word dissertation.
