Modules

Level 3 (foundation year): Foundation in Business. Level 4 modules: Introduction to Financial Analysis and Management, Global Business Environment and International Strategy, Introduction to Business Contracts and the Law, Digital Business and Principles of Marketing, Organisational Behaviour. Level 5 modules: The Entrepreneurial Journey, Project Management and Implementation, Principles of Events Management, Specialist Events Planning. Level 5 optional modules: Ruskin module. Level 6 modules: Strategic Management, Sustainability and Responsible Business, Sustainable Events Management, Undergraduate Major Project

Assessment method

You can expect an eclectic mix of coursework, essays, exams and activity-based assignments. This is reflected in two live project modules (year 2 and year 3), whereby the final major project will involve the delivery of a local/regional event external to the university, that draws upon intellectual knowledge gained, understanding of theory, policy and major practice, and a short report linking the project with course outcomes to consolidate all learning outcomes required as part of the successful completion of the degree. All assessment is designed to allow you to demonstrate what you’ve learning from modules, and to make sure you’re developing the knowledge and skills you need to successfully complete the course.

Qualification requirements

5 GCSEs at grade D, or grade 3, or above and evidence of two years post-GCSE study at Level 3. If you have achieved at least grade E in one A level, or equivalent, you are exempt from the two years post-GCSE study requirement, but you still must meet the GCSE requirements. Applicants who do not meet the two years post GCSE study at level 3 may be considered based on their satisfactory employment history, which must be a minimum of two years full time employment supported by employer evidence and deemed appropriate by the University for meeting the course of study applied for.
