This course provides a thorough grounding in the theoretical, business, and practical skills required in the creative media industry. This course provides you with an excellent opportunity to develop the skills, knowledge and understanding required for a successful career in the creative media industry. While studying this course you will gain invaluable practical skills in a variety of film and sound related disciplines. This will include learning about camera work and editing, capturing professional quality audio as well as gaining industry knowledge to pursue a career in the competitive film and sound industry. Wirral Met College does not currently hold a Tier 4 licence to sponsor applicants who need a student visa to allow them to study in the UK. We are therefore only able to proceed with applications from those with current status which allows study.
Entry requirements
Qualification requirements
Entry is open to students with relevant qualifications at level 3 such as Access to Higher Education Diploma in any subject with Pass, Merit profile. Other related Level 3 qualifications, such as A-Levels, may also be accepted. Applicants should have GCSE Maths and English grade 4/C and above. Students who do not satisfy the entry criteria may be eligible by interview and evidence of relevant industry experience. Mature learners may present a more varied profile of achievement that is likely to include extensive work experience (paid or unpaid) and possibly also achievement of a range of professional qualifications in their work sector.
