Course summary
This one year course offers you the chance to top up your engineering foundation degree or HND with an honours degree qualification. This will broaden your range of skills and improve your career prospects. You will be taught how to turn ideas into reality by applying the principles of science and technology to areas within aerospace and mechanical engineering. The degree also helps develop transferable skills such as oral and written communication, teamworking and time management, all of which will provide a sound basis for employment in the aerospace industry. Throughout this practical engineering course, you will also develop the range of specialist skills, knowledge and understanding needed to become an incorporated engineer.
Modules
The course is mostly delivered through lectures with specific laboratory and coursework activities built in to give practical insights into the theory. The syllabus focuses on both the practical and theoretical elements of automotive engineering. You will also undertake around 20 hours of independent study each week.
