Course summary
Today’s global marketplace demands graduates to have the business know-how and the skills and knowledge to apply these within an international setting. This course will develop you into an attractive graduate with excellent prospects by providing you with strong academic foundations, real-world experience and outstanding Spanish language skills. Accredited by both Nottingham Business School and the University of Valencia, this dual award course provides you with the opportunity to immerse yourself in Spanish culture and language whilst learning about European and global business. The full-time course is four years long. You will be spending two years at Nottingham Business School and two years at the University of Valencia, which includes a half year internship in Spain or in a Spanish-speaking company. The course offers a broad-based understanding of international business, covering the disciplines of Management, Marketing, Finance and Human Resources from a global perspective. As the course is dual award you will graduate with a BA (Hons) International Business (with Spanish) from NTU, and a Grado en International Business from our partner institution the University of Valencia. EFMD Global awarded EFMD Programme Accreditation to our suite of undergraduate BA (Hons) International Business courses in March 2021. This course achieved a 91% student satisfaction rating in the National Student Survey 2022. Nottingham Business School is accredited by EQUIS and AACSB, which are internationally recognised hallmarks of excellence and quality for business education. We are one of only six UK business schools recognised as a PRME Champion, and held up as an exemplar by the United Nations Principles of Responsible Management Education (PRME). Modules
Year One: Six core modules. Year Two: Full year study at University of Valencia. Studying at the University of Valencia will allow you the opportunity to study in both Spanish and English. Year Three: Half year study at University of Valencia and a half year internship in Spain or with a Spanish-speaking company. Year Four: Full-time study at Nottingham Business School. Five core modules plus one option module. Throughout the course you will study a number of subject areas including: Foundations of Managing and Organising, Language, Quantitative Methods for International Business, International Strategic Management, International Tourism: Sustainability Development and Impact, Global Business in a Changing World and Global Supply Chain Strategy.
