Course summary

The programme is in response to the changing nature of business, and the need for students to have the skills that are required for employment, as documented by current research such as the CBI (2016) and Entrecomp Entrepreneurship competency framework (2016).

Modules

Year One – Level 4 (HNC, HND & BA) • Contemporary Challenges: Making a Difference (20 credits; compulsory; Graduate Attributes Framework module) • Entrepreneurial Innovation (20 credits; compulsory) • Finance for Business (20 credits; compulsory) • Learning in the Digital Era (20 credits; compulsory; Graduate Attributes Framework module) • Marketing Fundamentals (20 credits; compulsory) • People and Organisations (20 credits; compulsory). Assessment method

Assessment methods vary from module to module but you can expect a range of assessments including, coursework, practical work and exams. Assessments combine academic rigor with authentic “real-world” tasks that demonstrate a student’s ability to meaningfully apply their knowledge and skills.
