Course summary
This programme provides a four-year route into the Computer Science BSc (Hons) degrees. You will spend your first year at Carmel College in St Helens, about nine miles from the main University campus. The college offers small class sizes and high standards of academic achievement. At Carmel College, you will take foundation modules in mathematics and a choice of modules from physics, chemistry, biology, geography and IT. You then join the Computer Science BSc (Hons) programme at Liverpool. You then transfer to the first year at the University of Liverpool, and choose one of our degree programmes. Years Two, Three and Four are identical in content to the three years of the degree programme you have chosen. The BSc programme is accredited by BCS, the Chartered Institute for IT on behalf of the Engineering Council for the purposes of fully meeting the academic requirement for Incorporated Engineer and partially meeting the academic requirement for a Chartered Engineer and is accredited by BCS, the Chartered Institute for IT for the purposes of fully meeting the academic requirement for registration as a Chartered IT Professional.
