Course summary

Explore international societies, economies and landscapes and the processes that shape our world. On your three-year BA Human Geography, social science-focused, degree you will explore geographies of inequality, migration, labour markets, economic development, health, well-being and social justice. You’ll graduate prepared to work in fields including research, consultancy and public policy. Gain the knowledge and skills you need to understand the geographies of inequality, migration, labour markets, economic development, health, well-being and social justice. You will learn valuable analytical and communication skills and how to collect and analyse data using a range of methods. You'll have the chance to: 1. Undertake fieldwork to study urban landscapes, potentially in Europe or South East Asia 2. Learn about political and economic change in cities and across societies globally 3. Research human geography using different concepts, approaches and ways of collecting data 4. Boost your employability by spending a year in employment 5. Draw on the world-leading expertise of your academic tutors to enhance your learning. This degree course involves no physical geography elements. If you wish to retain the option to focus on aspects of physical geography later in the course, consider our Geography (BA) degree.

Qualification requirements

GCSE :Applicants must hold GCSE English language (or GCSE English) (minimum grade 4/C) and mathematics (minimum grade 4/C).
