Course summary

This comprehensive integrated joint course allows you to examine a wide range of themes and issues in the history and politics of Britain, Europe, the Americas and the Middle East from the sixteenth century to the present day. Focusing on the cultural, political, social and economic aspects of historical change, you will be encouraged to study particular areas of interest and controversy in depth. In your studies, you will learn the essential techniques of critical analysis, research methods and the skills required for handling and processing information.
