Course summary

The Strength and Conditioning BSc(Hons) is degree is designed to match the requirements of the strength and conditioning professional standards created in partnership with the Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity (CIMSPA) and the United Kingdom Strength and Conditioning Association (UKSCA). You'll gain hands-on experience in our specialist facilities which include a new strength and conditioning suite, labs that are accredited by the British Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences (BASES) and extensive sporting facilities. Option modules will help you tailor the degree to your interests and a placement will provide you with professional experience. Our staff are strength and conditioning experts who have worked and continue to work, with organisations including the Lawn Tennis Association and the English Institute of Sport, England basketball, England Netball and Great Britain's Paralympic cycling team. Don’t meet the entry requirements? The University of Brighton Sport BSc(Hons) with integrated foundation year provides an extra year of study at foundation level for students who do not hold the academic qualifications or experience required for entry to this course. Successful completion of the foundation year enables you to progress onto year 1 of this degree.

Additional fee information

Please note that the £13,842 international fee is for classroom based courses and provisional for 2023. For lab based courses a higher fee of £14,892 applies. EU students will be charged international fees unless they have settled status awarded by the UK Government's Settlement Scheme. Further tuition fees are payable for each subsequent year of study and are subject to an annual increase of no more than 5% or RPI (whichever is the greater). The annual increase for UK/EU students, who are subject to regulated fees, will increase no more than the statutory maximum fee. The tuition fee you have to pay depends on a number of factors including the kind of course you take, and whether you study full-time or part-time. If you are studying part-time you will normally be charged on a pro rata basis depending on the number of modules you take. If your course includes a sandwich year option you will pay a reduced fee during this year; £1,370 for home students and £2,120 for international students. You may have to pay additional costs during your studies. The cost of optional activities is not included in your tuition fee and you will need to meet this cost in addition to your fees.
