Course summary

Our PhD/MPhil Clinical Sciences programme enables you to undertake a research project that will improve understanding of Clinical Sciences. We work at the interface of chemistry, biology and medicine, and employ state-of-the-art laboratory methods in a concerted effort to advance understanding of the molecular basis of human disease, promote the discovery and validation of biomarkers, support the development of therapeutics, and assist the translation of biomedical discoveries. Our multidisciplinary group comprises analysts, biochemists, biologists, microbiologists, and clinicians.


Entry requirements

We require applicants to hold, or be about to obtain, an Upper Second class Honours degree (or overseas equivalent) in a related subject area for entry to a PhD programme. A Lower Second class Honours degree may be considered if applicants also hold a Masters degree with a Merit classification.
