Our master's in finance and accounting is accredited by CIMA and includes 11 exemptions* from the CIMA qualification, which is achieved through the successful completion of the CIMA Master’s Gateway route. *Please note: the amount of exemptions you receive will depend on the modules studied, and students completing the PGDip pathway will not receive 11 exemptions. How to apply
International applicants
All non-EU international students can apply directly via our online application forms: https://public.dataharvesting.com/ucb/io/aps/1255/v1/index.php Undergraduate applicants can also apply via UCAS, if they wish to apply to more than one university. The International Admissions team aim to respond to any new application made directly via the online application form within 5 working days of receipt. However, this can vary during peak application periods (particularly January-March) or if the team require additional information to process your application. Applicants who apply to transfer to University College Birmingham on to a second year or final year of a course will have their course mapped for entry and the conditions of entry will be stated on UCAS track. Each application is considered individually and careful consideration is given to all information on your application form, particularly your personal statement, reference and the qualifications you have taken or are in the process of taking. In most cases, a decision to make an offer can be based on this information alone, however we may need to make further enquiries, particularly relating to your immigration status or previous studies in the UK.
Entry requirements
**Academic** - A grade classification of 2:2 is required or international equivalent - A subject related UK or International honours degree from a recognised institution - Applicant should have studied in a closely-related discipline that will enable you to meet the academic rigour of the course and understand the finance and accounting modules - GCSE maths - Grade A*-C or 9-4, or equivalent Level 2 qualification **Work-Based** - We also consider applicants who are currently employed and wish to apply to UCB. - To apply, you must have 5 years of relevant managerial work experience, demonstrating in-depth knowledge of the sector for the subject matter you are interested in pursuing. - A reference detailing your roles and responsibilities from your line manager and a meeting with the programme team will usually be scheduled prior to a place being offered. **EU/international students:** - For Academic and English entry requirements for EU and international students, please visit the Country Specific Information page on the UCB website: https://www.ucb.ac.uk/our-courses/international/country-specific-information.aspx
