Course summary
This HND is for people that want to develop as performers, actors and directors. This course prepares you for the industry by equipping students with the knowledge, skills and understanding of the industry and adapt to the constant changing world. From show reels to auditions, this course is about developing yourself and finding your place (and voice) in the performing arts industry. The Higher National Diplomas have been designed to help give students employability skills in your chosen industry. The modules cover some core subjects for performing arts and then the rest are specific to acting. You will be taught by industry professionals and regularly have visiting artists and workshops by visiting professionals. The tutors are keen to help make the visits as relevant to your chosen industry as possible. Progression Opportunities On completion, students have gone on to work in film, stage and screen. Others students have joined entertainment groups, such as cruise ship entertainers. If you wish to continue your education, this course allows you to apply for a one year top up course to gain a degree in your chosen field.

There is a variety of assessments. Most include demonstrating your knowledge through performances, portfolio and course work.
