Course summary
This four-year, full-time clinical experience MPhil/PhD is suitable for clinicians from all fields of dentistry. Hosted at the world-leading Eastman Dental Institute, this programme will enable you to develop and refine your clinical skills whilst deepening your scientific knowledge and participating in translational research.
Entry requirements
A minimum of an upper second-class UK Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate subject, or an overseas qualification of an equivalent standard, or a recognised MRes or Master’s degree. Applicants are also expected to satisfy UCLH NHS Foundation Trust requirements for engagement in clinical practice. Entry is extremely competitive and places will only be offered to exceptional candidates. In addition to choosing a research project, applicants must decide on the clinical discipline within which they wish to gain experience. All prospective applicants are encouraged to send an informal research enquiry. This should be sent directly to the Research Student Administrator ([email protected]). Making a research enquiry helps define your interests, contributes to making your application successful, and also serves to ensure the identification of the best possible supervisor for your needs. You can find information about the research departments within the Eastman on the Eastman website. All applicants must meet UCL's general entry requirements for MPhil/PhD. English level: Level 3
