Course summary

This certificate offers a Masters level, flexible introduction to key issues in contemporary cities and debates in urban scholarship. It allows you to select from a range of courses on offer in a leading centre of urban research and teaching. WHY THIS PROGRAMME

  • You can choose from courses in the fields of urban and public policy, real estate, planning, regeneration, transportation and housing.
  • Successful completion provides a route to masters study for students without prior degree level qualification.

PROGRAMME STRUCTURE Full-time students will be enrolled for either semester 1 or semester 2 and can select courses amounting to 60 credits from those on offer in the semester in which they are registered. Part-time students can select any combination of courses up to the value of 60 credits from the full range offered during their period of study. Courses are delivered via lectures and seminars. Some courses include field trips, contributions by external speakers, case studies and projects. There may be opportunities for group work and/or individual presentations depending on the courses selected.
