Course summary
Our PhD/MPhil Prosthodontics programme enables you to undertake a research project that will improve understanding of Prosthodontics. Prosthodontics is the dental specialty pertaining to the diagnosis, treatment planning, rehabilitation and maintenance of the oral function, comfort, appearance and health of patients with clinical conditions associated with missing or deficient teeth, and/or maxillofacial tissues using biocompatible substitutes. Current research topics include implant characterisation, novel aesthetic bridge construction, bioactive glass, intra-oral scanning and 3D printing.
Entry requirements
We required applicants to hold, or be about to obtain, an Upper Second class Honours degree (or overseas equivalent) in a related subject area for entry to a PhD programme. A Lower Second class Honours degree may be considered if applicants also hold a Masters degree with a Merit classification.
