Assessment method
Assessment is by a thesis of 40,000 words of original research completed over a period of 2 years of full-time study.

International applicants
This course has a subject classification which requires students whose nationality is outside the European Economic Area (EEA) or Switzerland to have an ATAS certificate, irrespective of country of residence at the point of application.

Entry requirements
Good UK Honours degree (at least 2.1) or equivalent (GPA 3.6 or better on a 4 point scale); overseas applicants whose 1st language is not English must, in addition, provide evidence of competence in written and spoken English (e.g. satisfactory British Council IELTS score or TOEFL score).
