Course summary
Law studies the obligations and rights which members of society have in relation to each other and to the state. As a politics student, you'll look at the work of governments and their policies and study the behaviour of those who govern - and who they are governing - both at home and abroad. You'll also gain knowledge of domestic and international institutions and issues relating to conflict and cooperation. Why Law and Politics and International Relations at Strathclyde? Access the resources of the Andersonian Library, one of the finest in Scotland, offering a wide range of law reports, legislation, serials and monographs. Progress to our LLB (Graduate Entry) after completing a joint Honours degree with Law and another subject. Your Career Graduates who have studied law and another discipline may be employed in areas where knowledge of the legal implications of business practice is of value, such as government services, commerce and industry, banking and insurance, and management and administration.

Additional fee information
Undergraduate students who live in Scotland will usually have their tuition fees paid by the Student Awards Agency Scotland (SAAS). If you have previously attended university or college or are not sure about your eligibility, you should contact SAAS to check your eligibility to have your fees paid. SAAS will pay your tuition fees directly to Strathclyde.
Most undergraduate students from the rest of the UK (England, Wales and Northern Ireland) will receive a free year of tuition as, assuming no change in Rest of UK fees policy over the period, the total amount payable by undergraduate students will be capped. For students commencing study next session, this is capped at £27,750. Students studying on Integrated Masters degree programmes pay an additional £9,250 for the Masters year with the exception of those undertaking a full-year industrial placement where a separate placement fee will apply.
