Course summary

Our newly revalidated postgraduate programmes offer a broader range of option modules, especially in the areas of doctrine, church history and practical ministry, along with modules which are designed to integrate theological disciplines. The MTheol Theology is an integrated undergraduate Master’s degree, building from a broad foundation of theological, pastoral and cross-cultural studies in the first three years to an area of in-depth specialisation of your choice in the fourth year. This programme has your ministry in mind. You go deeper in order to explain things more simply and clearly. You are not left at the end with a brilliant theology that won’t make sense to anybody in the pew. That’s why many of the modules cultivate and assess the ability to articulate profound truths in accessible and powerful ways. Normally, applicants apply for the BA (Hons) and then, during the DipHE year, go through an internal admissions process to enter year 3 of the MTheol programme. For more information about this, please contact the Oak Hill Admissions Office.
