This programme offers the opportunity to focus in detail on an area of your choosing in the synchronic or diachronic study of English, while still being able to take some taught courses. It is intended for those who already have a good background in the study of English, typically from undergraduate study. This is one of two MSc by Research programmes offered in Linguistics and English Language.
