Course summary
If you are interested in the role energy has to play in the future of engineering, the BEng (Hons) Energy Engineering degree is for you. The degree has been designed to meet the needs of the industry, ensuring you will be highly employable after graduation. You will explore both conventional energy systems and renewable energy technologies. You will also undertake an engineering project, which will showcase your skills and knowledge in solving an industry-related problem to prospective employers. Please note that UHI North Highland, UHI Outer Hebrides and UHI West Highland have changed their names to become UHI North, West and Hebrides. This will not impact on your choice of course or how and where you will study.

Entry requirements for advanced entry (i.e. into Year 2 and beyond)
Advanced entry to year two may be possible with a relevant 15 SQA credit HNC (such as the HNC Engineering (Systems pathway)) with a pass in Engineering Mathematics 2. To make an application please use the 'Apply' tab and indicate year two entry on your application. Advanced entry to year three may be possible with a relevant HND (such as the HND Engineering Systems). This is a Top-Up Degree whereby Year 1 of the course comprises an HNC and in some cases Year 2 an HND. Courses which comprise an HN award as their first and/or second year will be charged the Higher National fee for the first and/or second year, increasing to the degree fee rate after this.
