Course summary
Hull is a marketing professional’s dream. Here, as part of the Hull University Business School, you’ll study the latest marketing concepts, work on live business project for international brands and be fully supported by passionate and expert staff, who offer practical, hands on experience. Marketing is one of the fastest growing industries and this course prepares you for a range of careers. You’ll learn to understand consumer behaviour through marketing intelligence and analytics and how to harness the power digital marketing and social media. You’ll explore market dynamics, marketing communications and branding while discovering the ‘holistic marketing’ approach: balancing an organisation’s goals against the needs of the environment and society. Taking part in our programme of live business projects will deepen and test your marketing skills, confidence and knowledge of marketing concepts. This year, as part of the annual marketing challenge, students had the chance to work with Team GB with the challenge of creating a marketing strategy to keep fans engaged between Olympic Games. You’ll also have the opportunity to take part in a placement year to gain valuable work experience- and get paid. Recent companies who have worked with our students include Siemens Games, Jaguar Land Rover, IBM and Sony. You’re supported throughout by our friendly tutors and professional staff. Not bad for enhancing the CV. Our students have also been supported to achieve success in the Chartered Institute of Marketing’s national competition, ‘The Pitch’ (reaching the national finals). As we’re accredited by the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), that means you’ll be eligible for student membership. You can get exemptions from professional qualifications, access to a wider marketing network and invitations to professional marketing events.
