Course summary

This programme is made up of 3 modules; Fundamental Critical Care (20 credits), Advanced Critical Care (20 credits) and a Work Based Learning module (20 credits). This Part-time programme is designed to facilitate and guide the students effectively and safely in caring for those individuals with critical care needs. The major focus is on the provision of care in a holistic manner and will build on existing knowledge and skills to establish knowledgeable practitioners involved in the care of acutely/critically ill patients. Module one is designed for any practitioner working in an acute area and module two is for practitioners working specifically in critical care environments.


Entry requirements

- Registration with the NMC/HCPC and employment within an acute practice area. - IELTS: 6.0 (with no element below 5.5) is required. Admissions are made via Bangor University online system. International Students: Because this pathway is part-time and requires a current NMC registration and access to an acute/intensive care environment, this pathway is not suitable for the international market.
