Gain the technical, scientific, and engineering skills that will enable you to produce high-quality audio solutions and turn your passion for audio into industry-level expertise. Take your passion for audio to the next level with this JAMES-accredited degree. As part of this course, you'll:

• Understand the physical nature and behaviour of sound and use this to benefit audio production and performance

• Analyse how audio systems work to be able to design your own solutions

• Study a blend of engineering, acoustics, programming and electronics

• Apply your skills and knowledge to acoustic issues and audio design solutions you’ll face in industry

• Practise finding solutions to audio engineering problems such as predicting and reducing the acoustic impact of rail lines on nearby homes, and designing a public address system to deliver a speech to thousands of listeners

• Apply your knowledge to a variety of contexts including studio recording, environmental acoustics and sound reproduction systems

• Accredited by JAMES - we were the first university in England to become a JAMES Integrated Learning Centre
