Course summary
This course will prepare you with the skills and knowledge necessary to build a career in Make-up Artistry within the creative industries, such as film, television and theatre. At Level 4, you will develop a range of practical skills, knowledge and experience of current and emerging make-up industry developments and trends. You will gain an understanding of the roles and requirements of a hair and make-up artist in a range of projects and live productions. Throughout your time on the course you will practice a variety of hair, make-up and character styles on your peers, models and actors. You will also develop a portfolio to showcase your professional skills. You will prepare for study at Level 5 and develop your academic and study skills, undertaking research, academic writing, and reflective practice. This course will provide you with an insight into make-up artistry within a variety of creative industries, enhancing your chance of career progression in your chosen field.

Qualification requirements
• 64 UCAS points or equivalent in a Level 3 qualification in Hair and Media Make-up (or a related subject) • English and maths at grade 4(C) or above or equivalent • If you do not have the traditional entry requirements but have relevant work experience or an alternative qualification you may still be eligible for the course • You may be required to attend an interview and an assessment
