Course summary
Studying Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Robotics enables you to experience a comprehensive degree in the multi-discipline areas of Computing, Software, Robotics, Autonomous Vehicles (Automotive) and 3D games design. Artificial Intelligence is everywhere from mobile phone apps to self-driving cars and, when combined with robotics, forms a vital part of our future, as recognised by companies such as Google, Amazon. It now even forms a major part of UK Government planning. You’ll start by studying modern software languages: - Java, Python, Computer Hardware with Electronics and Mechanics to give you a solid start to your career. You’ll then extend your skills in areas such as 3D Robotic design, Programming Micro-controllers in C, AI Basics, CISCO networking, C++ and even the Ethics of Living in a Robotic Society. If you prefer a sandwich degree, we can help you gain vital experience in the UK, Europe or beyond, providing you with excellent contacts and experience for your CV for the start of your professional career. Finally you’ll complete a dissertation and professionally designed modules such as: Robotic Vision, Artistic Synthetic face/ eye creation, Windows Programming in C++, which will enable you to enter the world of employment.

Year 0 Core: Study Skills and Professional Development, Web Technology and Programming, Practical Mathematics, Engineering Science. Year 1 Core: Software Development and Application Modelling, Digital Technologies, AI and Chat Bots, Robotic Design and Worlds. Year 2 Core: Commercial Computing, Robotic Programming, AI for Computer Games, Robot Ethics in an AI World. Year 3 Core: Final Year Project, Robotic Programming and Vision, Robotic Modelling and Drone Skin Design, Decision Analytics.
