Course summary
This programme is for students who want to learn how to use up-to-date information technology and contemporary management practices associated with managing people and projects. You may progress to a postgraduate business-related programme. Graduates have employment prospects in a wide range of business and IT disciplines, for example: business management, consultancy, accountancy, consumer research, statistical analysis, marketing, website development and business systems analysis.
Modules
Year One Modules May Include: Business: Past, Present and Future Business Communication Skills for Marketing Economics Professional Development in Computing:Information Engineering Web Technologies Computer Systems. Year Two Modules May Include: Business Law Engaging and Leading People Advertising and Branding Responsible Computing Group Project Design Human Computer Relationship. Year Three Modules May Include: Strategic Thinking Strategic Marketing IT Project Management 21st Century Computing Dissertation.
Assessment method
The programme will include lectures and in year three a major project is required. You will usually have to complete portfolios, presentations and written assignments as you progress, and normally sit exams at the end of each academic year.
