Course summary

Overview Marketing is about so much more than advertising. Through this degree you'll understand what makes a brand, you'll develop new product concepts, learn how to understand consumers and improve your ability to create effective communications. Marketing is a key part of every business and this degree course looks closely at how marketing works with other specialisms such as finance, business operations and social responsibility. When you finish this degree you'll have a deep understanding of how marketing interacts with all the working parts of a business and you'll be able to apply your skills as a marketing specialist in any sector that interests you. You’ll be able to test your skills and knowledge informally before you do assessments that count towards your final mark. You can get feedback on all practice and formal assessments so you can improve in the future. The way you’re assessed may depend on the modules you select. As a guide, students on this course last year were typically assessed as follows: Year 1 students: 58% by written exams and 42% by coursework Year 2 students: 30% by written exams, 2% by practical exams and 68% by coursework Year 3 students: 24% by written exams, 4% by practical exams and 72% by coursework
