Course summary
The airport and airline industry is ever changing which makes it an exciting industry to be part of. Whilst the current pandemic offers a challenge to the industry, this course presents the opportunity to grow and develop managerial skills fundamental to stand out and be prepared for this vibrant industry. The course has been designed in conjunction with senior aviation managers, both airport and airlines and recognises the demand for essential business skills combined with the theory and operational requirements of the sector. The content on the BA (Hons) Airport and Airline Passenger Management course reflects our links with employers, and our teaching emphasises the connections between theories and practice. Trips are an integral part of the course, to include the opportunity to visit both international and UK airports and Airlines. Legislation permitting both UK and international destinations will be available (additional cost). Our graduates have gone on to have successful careers with Emirates in the UAE, Jet2, British Airways and teaching Aviation.

Modules may include: • Business research Methods • Business Research Project • Managing Strategy • Critical Perspectives in the Airport and Airline Industries • Managing Passenger, Airport and Airline Relationships You will also have the opportunity to study with Eden Flight Training where you will have the amazing opportunity to attend flying school. Eden Flight Training are the only Approved Training Organisation (by the Civil Aviation Authority) in the North East of England, based at Teesside Airport with a philosophy of bringing affordable flight training in a safe, professional and friendly environment. You will learn the theory of flying and then put this into practice with a day of flying lessons where YOU will fly the aircraft (additional costs apply - TBC).
Assessment method
You will be assessed through a variety of assessment methods, including, essays, presentations, research tasks, projects and case studies.
Qualified teacher status (QTS)
To work as a teacher at a state school in England or Wales, you will need to achieve qualified teacher status (QTS). This is offered on this course for the following level:
