Course summary

Graduates will develop skills that include: web design, server-side programming, client-side scripting and database development. Students will also develop an appreciation of the important concepts of software design, usability and database administration. Students entering at Foundation level will gain confidence in the Computing area before studying at higher levels.

Assessment method

Students are assessed through a combination of worksheets, practicals, presentations, projects and examinations. Module assessment is often by assignment, or assignment and examination. The final mark for some modules may include one or more pieces of coursework set and completed during the module. Project work is assessed by written report and presentation.
