Course summary
This programme aims to accelerate your practical, technical and conceptual understanding of your practice. You may elect to specialise in or combine areas including painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, spatial and time based practice. With access to workshops and project spaces, you will be supported to extend or challenge your existing knowledge and methodologies. Strong links with regional and national galleries provide platforms for dialogue around contemporary practice, supported by visiting artists and the Fine Art Lecture Series. The annual Fine Art symposium Dialogues supports your professional understanding of contemporary Fine Art practice, while opportunities to collaborate with MA Curation students extend the possibilities for knowledge exchange and critical discourse. East Gallery NUA provides a showcase for high quality public exhibitions that augment the MA Fine Art experience. In 2016, NUA is the lead partner and host of British Art Show 8.
Assessment method
Students assessed using clearly identified criteria and requirements, and these are explained to students at the start of each module.
