If you’re someone who’s passionate about providing a cleaner, safer, more sustainable future for all, then an MEng in Automotive and Motorsport Engineering from the University of Huddersfield could help turn your passions into a fulfilling career. In order to prepare you for a rewarding role in the automotive sector, this five-year course aims to:
- Give you the fundamental principles of mechanics, dynamics, heat transfer and fluid flow with manufacturing technologies.
- Enhance your industrial experience through project work on real-world scenarios.
- Develop your automotive specialism through the investigation of propulsion systems, power transfer and chassis dynamics.
Modules
Our MEng in Automotive and Motorsport Engineering offers a wide range of modules across each year of the course, including many optional modules. Course modules include: • Engineering Communication and Materials • Dynamic Systems • Aerodynamics and Computational Fluid Dynamics • Advanced Static Analysis • Project and Finance Management.
Assessment method
During your first and second year, you will be part of our programme: EnABLE (Engineering in an Activity Based Learning Environment). This will see you work on projects to develop your technical knowledge and skills, giving you the confidence to take on your first graduate role. Throughout the course, you will have the opportunity to get feedback through weekly SAIL (Score as I Learn) assignments, so you will feel confident in your studies and be able to access support when you need it. A variety of assessment strategies to test your ability to apply knowledge and skills is used, including: • Assignments • Exams • Individual project work • Practical work.

BTEC Level 3 Extended Diplomas Engineering - please note that we do not accept BTEC Computing and Operations as a qualification for entry to this course. Please note that we do not accept T Levels for entry to this course for 2023. Other suitable experience or qualifications will be considered.
