About this Course: This stimulating, hands-on course comprises practical workshops, lectures and gallery visits. The programme supports the development of your studio practice within fine art, craft, ceramics or textiles with the option to specialise or work across disciplines. Emphasis is placed upon creative experimentation with a variety of media and the development of individual ideas and approaches. Your first year aims to develop your creative skills in a range of 2D and 3D art forms with a focus on fine art, craft, ceramics and textiles. You will be introduced to art and design software and develop your digital creative skills. Critical and contextual studies will encourage you to engage with new ideas, theories and contemporary debate. In your final two years will allow you to develop your area of specialist practice that may explore an area of the visual arts in depth or cross boundaries between disciplines.
