Food and beverage engineers are tasked with the upkeep, management, and installation of a wide array of specialized equipment and technological systems used in the production of food and drink items. They blend their engineering expertise with a deep understanding of food safety, science, and technology, concentrating on the efficient management, maintenance, and continuous enhancement of existing assets. Their work operates within the distinctive challenges of this sector, which encompass the inherent product variability, compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, environmental considerations, and meeting customer and consumer expectations and standards.
