Course summary

This degree builds on the industry-recognised HNC. All first year entrants will start on the HNC and the entry requirements are therefore for this programme. Successful completion will allow you to progress onto the second year of the degree. Applicants already holding a relevant HNC qualification can apply for direct entry to the second year. When completing your application make sure you choose year two. It may be possible for applicants holding a relevant HND qualification to apply for direct entry to year three, again where this is the case please make sure you choose year three when completing your application. Entry requirements for advanced entry (i.e. into Year 2 and beyond)

Advanced entry to year two: Successful completion of a relevant 15 SQA credit HNC (such as the HNC Engineering Systems, HNC Electrical Engineering or HNC Electronic Engineering) with a pass in Engineering Mathematics 2. Advanced entry to year three: Successful completion of a relevant HND (such as the HND Engineering Systems, or HND Electronic Engineering) may allow advanced entry to year three. Advanced entry to year four: Successful completion of the BEng Electrical and Electronic Engineering, BEng Electrical and Mechanical Engineering or other equivalent ordinary degrees may allow advanced entry to year four.
