  • On this course, you’ll gain the knowledge and confidence you need to study Airline and Airport Management. Degree preparation After the foundation year, you’ll be ready to start the full degree. Airline and Airport Management is a dynamic, engaging and practical course that allows you excellent experience of the aviation industry. Work placements You have the opportunity to undertake a year-long work placement in your third year of study. This gives you real-world experience to prepare you for your future career. Please note Aviation businesses carry out pre-employment security clearances and this is outside the control of Sheffield Hallam. The basic security clearance (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) requires the verification of the following four elements: identity, employment history (past five years), nationality and immigration status, criminal record (unspent convictions only). Live projects As part of the course, you get the opportunity to work on real business projects to build your skills and professional experience. Networking You will frequently engage with airline and airport industry stakeholders throughout your study via industry guest talks and field trips. Field visits may require security checks.
