As such, our creative computing course arms students with a portfolio of artistic, design and technical skills through an exciting and flexible programme. You will explore how computing and digital technologies can enhance creativity and develop the skills and knowledge to become a creative professional within the media and arts industries. The course focuses on two distinct pathways to give you an understanding of computing and digital technologies across the spectrum. During your first year, you’ll gain a solid grounding in technology and focus on its application in creative contexts, as well as skills in designing computer applications, developing your technological creativity and investigating the process of new media development using programming languages. In years two and three, you’ll have the opportunity to either concentrate on the artistic aspects of the subject or take a more scientific approach. The course can be shaped to meet your own personal passions. What can this course do for you? Year 3: Creative computing pathway modules include: In this pathway you will gain knowledge of skills that are very much in demand and combine creative flair with a technical grounding. These skills include interactive systems, web and mobile technologies, digital art and multimedia streaming. Research methods Creative Coding Advanced Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Final Major Project Dissertation Year 3: Immersive technology pathway modules include: Immersive technologies is an emerging field which is highly sought after in a number of sectors including retail, e-commerce, engineering, art, entertainment, gaming, story-telling, and healthcare. You will gain first-hand experience of developing immersive experiences using state of the art computing tools and technologies. Assessment method

You will learn through a combination of practical workshops and class-based learning. You’ll be assessed through artefacts, projects and presentations which may be combined with some coursework.
