Nursing (Adult) at University of Winchester - UCAS

Course summary

This is a dynamic and interactive professional course. We will support you to realise your potential to become a compassionate, competent and autonomous nurse who is able to deliver and lead adult care within an ever‐changing health and social care environment. You will split your time equally between learning theory on campus and applying your knowledge during placements, practicing alongside other health professionals. You will study a range of academic core (all fields of nursing) and field (adult‐focused) modules based on theory and practice experiences. As you progress through the programme, programme content will become less generic and more specific to adult nursing. As you acquire the knowledge and skills to respond to the diverse needs of patients, families and carers within a variety of settings, you will develop and display the values required in modern healthcare: working together for patients; respect and dignity; commitment to quality of care; compassion; improving lives; and everyone counts.
