If so a, Pearson BTEC Higher National Certificate in Building Services Engineering (Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning) will help you get there. This course at UCNL/UCD will introduce you to the role of building services and how it makes buildings meet the needs of people who live and work in them through design, installation, operation and monitoring of the technical services that are of major importance within the broad field of building services engineering All teaching staff having extensive industrial experience, are highly qualified and enthusiastic professionals. Upon completion of your Pearson BTEC Higher National Certificate in Building Services Engineering for England (Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning) you will have developed a wider knowledge of the building services engineering principles which will prepare you for employment opportunities in the building services engineering industry or take further qualifications to further your knowledge and understanding of the industry This course is particularly relevant to people already working in or looking to develop a career within it. Further the course provides a range of skills relevant across a variety of different professions. People who have completed this course have gone on to work in areas of building services engineering including: • Building Services Engineering Technician • Heating/Cooling System Designer • Designer Heating/Cooling System Designer If you wish to continue studying beyond this course, it will provide you with a strong academic basis to do so. Course progression routes may include The HNC course is designed to provide progression onto a BTEC Higher National Diploma (HND) top-up. This will also then offer a route to study a top-up degree in building services engineering or a related discipline as well as progression to professional body membership.

This course includes the following core modules that all students complete: • Construction Design Project (Pearson-set) • The Construction Environment • Digital Applications for Construction Information • Mathematics for Construction • Principles of Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning • Principles of Public Health Engineering • Site Supervision & Operations • Scientific Principles for Building Services Occasional changes to modules and course content may take place. Students will be notified when applicable.
