Acting at Falmouth University - UCAS

Course summary

Providing actors-in-training with the skills, knowledge and rigours required for work within the modern creative industries, students on the BA(Hons) Acting Accelerated Degree work as professionals from day one and are encouraged to approach classes and performance projects playfully and professionally. Throughout the two-years’ training, BA (Hons) Acting students will be introduced to and explore a wide variety of classical, contemporary, and international disciplines and practices, and will be encouraged to take risks, be open and curious as they discover everything their professional acting journey has to offer. Our accelerated training approach allows students to engage intensively and holistically with their training while they work in a collaborative ensemble environment, developing their skills through a range of diverse skills-based classes and performance projects, including an industry-facing Graduate Showcase, under the guidance of experienced directors, practitioners, and professional creatives. Students will be given numerous opportunities to bring together the performance, movement and voice skills learned in the studio throughout their two-years training, so that they graduate as industry-ready professionals who are adaptable and knowledgeable, and capable of building a sustainable career as an actor and theatre maker.
