Course summary

The Master of Business Administration (MBA) is a prestigious globally recognised postgraduate qualification for ambitious, motivated graduates. Even if you do not have previous business or management experience, studying for an MBA, can support your career progression. It is designed to develop a broad range of skills required for careers in business and management and exposes you to many areas of business including business strategy, finance, marketing, operations management and human resources management. Studying for an MBA through distance learning, gives you the benefit of being able to balance study with your commitments at work and at home. You can enjoy the flexibility to study at your convenience without the need to travel or physically attend classes. Please note the modules are delivered within trimester periods so you will need to complete them during specified times. Your teaching will be provided online enabling you to balance study with your commitments at work and home, whilst enhancing your employment opportunities. You will have online access to course materials and assessment information. Throughout the process, you will be aided by our supportive teaching staff that are professionally qualified and have industry and academic experience to share with you. You will be encouraged to engage with your fellow students and tutors online. Within this two-year programme, you will study the following modules, all of which are compulsory: Year One Competitive Strategy and Innovation (20 Credits) Critical Issues in Business (10 Credits) Managing Operations and the Supply Chain (20 Credits) Managing and Organisational Behaviour (20 Credits) Financial Decision Making (20 Credits) Year Two Strategic Marketing (20 Credits) The Entrepreneurship Report (20 credits) Business Management Research in Practice (30 Credits) International Business Negotiation (20 Credits) You can find more information about modules on the Award Map. Entry requirements

If you hold a first or second class honours degree from a British university or equivalent you will be eligible to apply for this course. Work experience is useful but is not an essential requirement, so long as you can demonstrate a clear passion and interest in business and/or enterprise. English language requirements: If your native language is not English you must provide evidence of your English language capability at a level approved by the University. The level required for study on masters degree courses is IELTS 6.5 or its equivalent.
