Do you have an insatiable curiosity about the voices and societies of the past? Do you enjoy connecting the dots between current events and the centuries of evolution that brought us to this point in time? Investigate the cultural, political, social, and economic history of Britain, Europe, and the Atlantic World in this broad and engaging programme. Learn to question the source information you're presented with, and the voices they do and don't represent, as you explore periods in time from the medieval to the modern. Examine particular topics of history in-depth, guided by the specialties of our experienced team as you study specific places, periods and themes. Graduate with a BA (Hons) History or BA (Hons) Scottish History, according to the specialism you choose in your third and fourth years. Put your highly transferable skills to good use in postgraduate studies or careers across a variety of sectors, from museums, galleries, heritage organisations, and tourism, to teaching, research, libraries, marketing, and media.

Entry requirements for advanced entry (i.e. into Year 2 and beyond)
HNC Social Science (12 SQA credits) with 3 additional SQA credits at level 7, which is equivalent to 120 degree credit points, and at least grade C in the Graded Unit will be considered for direct entry to year two
International applicants
This course is not currently available for international students (including EU/EEA and Swiss nationals without settled or pre-settled status in the UK) requiring Student Route visa sponsorship to study in the UK.
