Course summary

The HNC Construction Management course will help you gain a sound understanding of the technical, legal and scientific principles of construction. Seminars and lectures are backed up by construction site visits which will bring your studies to life. You’ll be taught by expert staff who have professional experience of working on large housing, commercial, and infrastructure developments, as well as having excellent working knowledge of the construction industry. At Cardiff and Vale College we have close links with industry which will provide you with valuable connections, giving you the chance to gain recognition and make contacts to help further your future career. The course is based at our Construction Training Centre, just a few minutes walk from the main City Centre Campus.

Students have access to a wide range of resources including textbooks, publications, and computers in the College library and via online resources. In most cases they are more than sufficient to complete a course of study. Where there are additional costs, either obligatory or optional, these are detailed on the College website (on individual course pages). Of course students may choose to purchase their own additional personal resources/tools over and above those listed to support their studies at their own expense. All stationery and printing costs are at a student’s own expense. EU students who have settled or pre-settled status in the UK under the EU Settlement Scheme, may be eligible for student finance and be designated as a home student for fees purposes. Irish nationals are eligible for support under the Common Travel Area arrangement.
