Our Architectural Technology course could help you on your way towards a dynamic and fulfilling career. Professional links and accreditation: The course is fully accredited by the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists (CIAT). The University of Huddersfield was the first University to run an Architectural Technology Honours degree course to be accredited by the CIAT. The accreditation was awarded in the Accreditation Review visit took place in March 2017, and the programme was first Accredited in 1996. The course is valid for 5 years. The Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists (CIAT) is a dynamic, forward-thinking and inclusive global membership qualifying body for Architectural Technology. It represents those practising and studying within the discipline and profession. It is a membership organisation representing 10,000 members within the discipline who wish to be professionally recognised. CIAT Accreditation implies that the programme has been assessed in terms of content, structure, resources and has met the Institute's requirements. The benefit of studying on a CIAT Accredited Programme is that it will support individuals wishing to become Chartered Architectural Technologists, MCIAT. The course is also fully accredited by the Chartered Association of Building Engineers (CABE). The accreditation was awarded in 1996 and the last accreditation review visit took place in March 2017. This is valid for five years.
